Hello
I’m Linda Choi, a Sydney-based pianist and vocalist with 18 years of playing experience. I have completed all AMEB grades and am currently pursuing Contemporary Performance (Vocals) at the Australian Institute of Music. I bring a thoughtful and well-rounded approach to teaching, combining piano and vocal skills with a passion for helping students grow musically and creatively.
My Story
My classical piano training and contemporary performance studies at AIM allow me to guide students with both technical skill and expressive musicianship. Teaching at music summer schools in Italy has strengthened my ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and learning goals. I focus on helping students build strong foundations, confidence, and their own musical voice, supporting growth at a pace that suits each individual.
As a musician, I believe that meaningful engagement with music is central to learning, whether through playing or singing. Music has been a source of comfort and inspiration in my own life, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel free to explore and express themselves. I recognise that each student develops at their own pace, bringing their own warmth, character, and individuality to music, and my goal is to nurture that uniqueness while guiding them toward confident and expressive musicianship.
